MY APPROACH

I feel a positive and nonjudgmental connection with my patients is the most important and essential building block in one’s treatment. I, therefore, place a priority on understanding what you have been through, and what has led you to seek professional help.

When working with children and adolescents, I place a priority on helping them meet the developmental challenges that are standing in the way of social and academic success. I strive to help your child or teen to both feel good about themselves and recover from disappointments and feelings of frustration. I also work closely with parents to improve the quality of the parent-child relationship and implement parenting practices that set your child up for success.

When working with adults, my focus is on helping individuals achieve their maximum potential. I help empower those I work with to improve their self-awareness and choose life paths of success and happiness. I believe that enlisting individuals in a collaborative process of emotional exploration and problem solving is an essential component of a successful therapeutic experience.

“Our wounds are often the openings into the best and most beautiful part of us.” – David Richo
